The class fee includes all of the tools and supplies needed to create a design and are yours to keep: no-slip hoop, monks cloth, naturally hand-dyed rug yarn, color instruction booklet plus an Oxford Punch needle ($160 retail value).

This workshop will cover fundamental rug hooking techniques using an Oxford Punch Needle and guide you to complete your first mini-bag or bud-vase project. For beginners and experienced students alike, we will explore repurposed materials and rug finishing techniques such as sewing and whip stitching. All students will receive a #10 Oxford Punch Needle, a 9-inch reusable punch needle hoop frame, foundation cloth, a choice selection of Eileen Fisher garments for punching fiber, instruction booklet/resource guide, and additional sewing materials needed to turn your project into a functional object. Students are welcome to bring their own clothing to be repurposed into punch fiber. Knit Jersey fabric such as cotton t-shirts work best. Eileen Fisher Renew garments will also be used as materials in this class.
